Recipe : Flourless Chocolate Cake


  • 112 g semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 115 g butter
  • 150 g white sugar
  • 45 g cocoa powder
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 5 ml vanilla extract

325 g Walnuts + Almonds (chopped)
50 g brown sugar
A bit cinnamon powder 


  1. Mix Walnut and Almonds chopped wit brown sugar and Cinnamon powder. Then
  2. Dump the mixture into a 9-inch springform pan or pie tin; there's no need to grease the pan.
  3. Use your hands or a flat-bottomed glass to press the mixture evenly into the bottom and sides (if desired) of the pan. To avoid getting into the batter, press firmly to ensure the mixture is well compacted.
  4. Keep it in the fridge and get ready to prepare the batter.
  5. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Grease an 8 inch round cake pan, and dust with cocoa powder.
  6. In the top of a double boiler over lightly simmering water, melt chocolate and butter. Remove from heat, and stir in sugar, cocoa powder, eggs, and vanilla. Pour into prepared pan.
  7. Bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Slices can also be reheated for 20 to 30 seconds in the microwave before serving.
